DEVICE FOR SINGLE AND CHRONIC CANNULATION OF THORACIC DUCT Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61M1/00 A61M25/01 A61M27/00

Abstract RU 2635002 C9

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: device for single and chronic cannulation of thoracic duct consists of a drainage tube with a threaded head, which is a thickening of its end part with a thread on the outer surface, which profile form is determined by the axially symmetrical surface with a constant generatrix. The angle between the tangent to the head generatrix and its longitudinal axis is a variable value. The head of the drainage tube is divided into at least three parts. The initial portion has a straight end or a long elastic oblique end relative to the longitudinal axis of the drainage tube and is designed for drainage tube penetration into the clearance between semilunar valves, pushing and pressing them to the thoracic duct walls. The middle part with the maximum diameter exceeding the internal diameter of the thoracic duct by 1.3-1.5 times, is designed to fix the drainage tube in the thoracic duct. The end part is designed for convenient extraction of the drainage tube from the thoracic duct by unscrewing.

EFFECT: invention allows to completely preserve the thoracic duct anatomy and its functional properties after cannula extraction with a natural discharge of lymph into the venous bed.
