FIELD: lighting.
SUBSTANCE: method discloses an alternative communication and control path that can bypass the main communication and control line when controlling the light sources of the lighting network. By creating an alternative backup path, it is still possible to maintain communication and control network elements in cases where the main communication and control path is unavailable or when one or more light sources need direct control. In one aspect of the invention, this alternative pathway can provide direct pairing for on-demand service programs for specialized management of light sources of the lighting network.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of control of light sources and saving electricity.
