The content item will be analyzed by the recommendations system as a part of multiple content elements to create a set of recommended content elements of the recommendations system as a recommendation for the user recommendations. The method involves one server receiving at least one features related to the network resource, where at least one feature includes an indication of the source of the visit, creating a profile of this network resource for a network resource. The profile of this network resource is based on at least one feature. The server also executes the machine learning algorithm to determine the resource suitability parameter for the network resource, selects at least one content element from the network resource if the suitability parameter of the source is defined as exceeding a predefined threshold.
EFFECT: increase of the efficiency of selecting a network resource as a source of content for a recommendations system.
