FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: high-speed helicopter with crossed screws (HSHCS) has a two-screw cross-sectional scheme, a power unit (PU) with an engine transmitting torque through the main reducer and shafts to the supporting screws, a vertical tail assembly with a stabilizer and three-wheel retractable wheel chassis. The HSHCS is based on the multi-mode aerodynamic control technology with the propulsion-steering system (PSS) in the concept of spaced apart crossed bearing screws (ACBS) from the fuselage according to the ACBS-X2 + 2 scheme, which has two three-lobed bearing cup-shaped propellers above the gull-wing fractures. Bearing screws are placed on vertical shafts in the profiled fairings of the underwing nacelles. Two coaxial propellers in the stern ring channel with controlled thrust vector are located above the low-lying tail beam and behind the mass centre on the stern gondola and create an inclined and/or marching thrust, respectively, when performing vertical and short take-off/landing or high-speed horizontal flight.
EFFECT: reduction of the required power for pitch control with hovering, increasing the speed and range of flight, the fuel efficiency.
