SUBSTANCE: turbocharger bearing assembly 40 is disclosed for a separate turbocharger for an engine 1 in which the key rotating parts 15, 10r, 20r are rotatably supported by a pair of spaced apart bearings 16, 17 located in an opening of the tubular bearing housing 30b forming a part of the bearing assembly 30. The rotating parts 15, 10r, 20r of the turbocharger bearing assembly 40 are balanced as a single unit before the turbocharger bearing assembly 40 is mounted on the engine 1-cylinder block 2z by insertion into the hole 2b provided in the cylinder block 2z.

EFFECT: facilitated installation of a split turbocharger on the engine.
