FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering, namely to turbochargers used, for example, for pressurizing internal combustion engines, in particular, to bearing assemblies made in the form of slider bearings. The invention makes it possible to increase the service life of the turbocharger shaft bearings by increasing the wear resistance of the working mating surfaces of the sliding bearings of liquid friction by using tribological pairs made of ceramic composite materials with a low coefficient of friction (no more than 0.1). The turbocharger shaft bearings consist of two divided floating rotating slider bearings of liquid friction and a spacer between them, the bearings are made in the form of bushings with oil-transfer through holes and oil-flow grooves on the end surfaces, with external and internal cylindrical smooth surfaces, in which the turbocharger rotor shaft is placed with a gap and coaxially. The slider bearings and the spacer between them are made of reaction-sintered silicon carbide (SiC) with a surface hardness of 88-90 HRC, and the surface of the turbocharger rotor shaft is coated with modified titanium carbonitride (TiCN) with a surface hardness of 82-84 HRC.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the service life of the turbocharger shaft bearings by increasing the wear resistance of the working mating surfaces of the sliding bearings of liquid friction by using tribological pairs made of ceramic composite materials with a low coefficient of friction (no more than 0.1).
