FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method of thermal utilisation of vegetable raw materials, characterized by that the raw materials are downloaded, moved horizontally, dry, pyrolized with flue gases. The gaseous products are condensed and solid phase is cooled and removed, while the time of τconstant heat transfer from the pyrolized raw material is determined by the formula

where τ is the total duration of pyrolysis, h; ΔU, ΔU* is the content of moisture and heat non-resistant part in the raw material, kg/kg; r is the moisture boiling heat, kJ/kg; R, h is the radius of pyrolyzer and thickness of the elementary pyrolized layer of the raw materials, m; K is the coefficient of heat transfer, W/m2⋅°C; ƒ is the specific area of the raw material particles, m2/kg; ΔT, ΔT* is the temperature difference between flue gases and material when drying and pyrolysis, °C; η is the proportion of heat spent on moisture evaporation; ηn is the coefficient of thermal transformation of raw material, W/m2⋅°C; q is the specific heat of pyrolysis, kJ/kg.
EFFECT: increasing the productivity of drying by calculating the duration of the starting period.
