FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: gypsum suspension mixing and distribution unit includes a mixer configured for mixing water and calcined gypsum to form water calcined gypsum suspension, and the suspension distributor communicating with the mixer by fluid medium. The suspension distributor includes a feed tube having a first inlet portion with a first inlet feed opening and the second inlet portion with a second inlet feed opening located at a distance from the first inlet feed opening. The first inlet feed opening is adapted to receive the first flow of aqueous calcined gypsum suspension from said mixer and the second inlet feed opening is adapted to receive the second flow of aqueous calcined gypsum suspension from said mixer. In addition, the suspension distributor includes a distribution tube, extending generally along the longitudinal axis and comprising an inlet portion and an outlet distribution opening in fluid communication with the inlet portion which is in fluid communication with the first and second feed openings of the feed tube. Wherein the outlet distribution opening extends a predetermined distance along a transverse axis substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. In this case, the outlet distribution opening in fluid communication with the first and second inlet feed openings and is configured to discharge the first and second flows of the aqueous calcined gypsum suspension from said suspension distributor through the outlet distribution opening. The cross-sectional area of the distribution tube inlet portion openingis greater than the total area of cross-sectional area of the first and the second inlet feed openings.
EFFECT: increase in efficiency of mixing and distribution of gypsum suspension.
