FIELD: cosmetology.
SUBSTANCE: composition contains an active depilatory substance and at least one material that changes the thermal properties of the composition, due to greater melting point or lower thermal conductivity than the bulk composition, which contains material that changes its phase state, including combination of 9.5 to 10%, consisting of cetearyl alcohol, ceteareth 20 and vinylpyrrolidone and hexadecane copolymer, where the composition is heated up to 40-60°C before use to remove hair from the skin. The invention also concerns a method for hair removal from the skin, which includes the following stages: (a) heating of the depilatory composition containing depilatory active substance and at least one material that changes the heat composition properties, due to having either a greater melting point, or lower thermal conductivity than the bulk composition which when heated allows the composition to have an improved cooling profile, to a temperature of 40-60°C; and (b) application of the specified hot depilatory composition to skin.
EFFECT: increased effectiveness of depilation.
