SUBSTANCE: cooling of thin steel sheet is carried out by supplying the coolant to an ejection opening communicating from the supply channel inside lower mould. At that preliminary cooling is carried out, upon which the value of ejection per unit of time of the coolant from the ejection opening is suppressed. Thereafter, the main cooling is carried out by increasing the value of ejection per unit of time.
EFFECT: uniformity of thin steel sheet cooling, and reduction of mould deformation.
