FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: bearing assembly consists of a radial ball bearing mounted by an inner ring (3) on a solid cylindrical shaft (1), and an outer ring mounted into the opening in the body, for example, of a reducer. On the end of the shaft (1), on which the inner ring (3) is mounted, an end conical opening of certain depth is drilled coaxially with the shaft (1), the longitudinal grooves are cut. A spring (2) and a spacing ball (4) are installed successively in the conical opening. A guiding nut (6) is mounted on the cylindrical part of the larger base of the conical hole. The adjusting screw (5) is screwed into the threaded opening of the guiding nut (6) until its end contacts the spacing ball (4) which is gradually turned up until formed gap transforms into tension as the gap appears between the shaft (1) and the inner ring (3).
EFFECT: design of a cylindrical ball bearing assembly which makes it possible to adjust the fitting in conjugation of the shaft and the inner ring of the bearing during the operation without performing disassembling, assembling and repair operations, thereby extending the life of the bearing assembly and machine as a whole, reducing its downtime due to failure of the bearing assembly.
