FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: tilter has a base, two posts to which a load platform is secured on a tilting axis which is provided with a rotary faceplate, and a tilting mechanism. The tilting mechanism consists of a non-rotating screw pivotally mounted on one of the posts and an electromechanical drive moving along the screw during tilting. The electromechanical drive is mounted on a load platform for turning together with the load platform relative to the tilting axis. According to the first version in the design of the load platform, a balance with rods and nuts is not provided. According to the second version, in the design of the load platform, on the side opposite to the rotation of the rotary faceplate, there is a balancer configured to move along the rods secured on the load platform.
EFFECT: reduction of weight and size dimensions of the design, possibility of turning a spacecraft around its longitudinal axis and reduction of labour input when operating with the tilter.
