FIELD: fire safety.

SUBSTANCE: method of fire extinguishing in the premises includes a cross-feeding water curtains to the body of fire with the formation of local closed zones of the treated area of body of fire. At the same time, local closed zones are formed using n spray devices located at a distance l from each other at the top of premise, so that any three adjacent devices are located at the vertices of an equilateral triangle. The distance l between the spray devices is determined from the expression: l=7⋅(htg⋅(α/2))/4, where h is the height of installation of spray devices; α - the angle of spray cone opening. The sprayed jet of each spray device is provided with a dispersion, which is variable in the jet cross-section, in which, at the periphery of spray cone, drops with radii from 0.3 mm to 0.6 mm are located, and inside the spray cone there are drops with radii from 0.005 mm to 0.17 mm.

EFFECT: expansion of the arsenal of fire extinguishing means.
