SUBSTANCE: method of operation of the drive on the leading wheels includes the stages at which the engine rotation is stopped and a regenerative braking is provided by driving on the leading wheels. Then regenerative braking is switched to providing a positive torque to the drive on the leading wheels and the starter/generator integrated into the drive on the leading wheels is actuated in the rotation speed control mode during the switching. Also, the torque converter clutch slip is increased when switching from the regenerative braking to the providing a positive torsion torque to the drive on the leading wheels.
EFFECT: failure of the torsion torque is eliminated.
