SUBSTANCE: device for stabilizing and holding the drill string comprises a housing, levers hingedly mounted on it each on its axis arms with clamping surrounding surfaces formed thereon, coupled to each other by gear sectors coaxial to the hinges, enabling the symmetrical rotation of the levers in opposite directions. Gearing is made double-row. The teeth of each of the paired rows are mutually displaced along the circumference by half the circumferential pitch.
EFFECT: increase in manufacturability of production.
