FIELD: drilling equipment. SUBSTANCE: this relates to drilling oil and gas wells and can be used in drilling rigs with top drive for rotation of drill pipe string. Top-driven drilling device is made in the form of separate power-driven unit suspended through axles from swivel body. Elevator is provided with its own suspension system pivotally attached to swivel journals. It can be moved vertically and horizontally. Power-driven unit has housings which incorporate rotary member and stopping wrench. Drive of this unit is divided into two parts: one part is located in rotary member housing and stopping wrench housing and is provided with differential setup, other part in the form of separate spur-gear reducer is provided with even number of motors with different direction of rotation. This part is installed on rotary member housing. Output shaft of reducer is engaged with satellite pinions of differential setup. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 cl, 7 dwg
