FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method involves production of thermostable carrier, based on lanthanum aluminates, namely, lanthanum hexaaluminate LaAl11O18 and lanthanum aluminate LaAlO3 with the phase ratio LaAl11O18: LaAlO3, in the range of 0 to 1.0, by pre-calcining the moulded carrier beads based on active aluminium oxide having a size of 0.2-3.5 mm at the temperature of 550°C-900°C, a two-cycle impregnation, drying and calcination of the aluminium oxide carrier and final calcination at the temperature of 850°C-1400°C, the impregnation being carried out with a solution of lanthanum nitrate with the concentration of 140-200 g/l with the addition of an organic acid with the concentration of 0.5-20 wt %, calcination is carried out at the temperature of 450°C-500°C. As an organic acid, acetic acid is used. The content of lanthanum in the finished carrier in terms of lanthanum oxide is 9.0-14.0 wt %.

EFFECT: creation of the method of producing a carrier for monofuel combustion catalyst stable at high temperature, with necessary increased resistance to sintering at high temperatures and high mechanical strength.
