FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: rotor cage of asynchronous electric motor contains rods and copper short-circuiting rings. Copper short-circuiting rings with cross-sectional dimensions 25×44 mm from the side of the upper and outer side surfaces are covered with screens of ferromagnetic steel, made in the form of rings of thickness 2 mm with L-shaped cross section.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of direct starting of high-power electric motors from a limited power network.
