SUBSTANCE: haircutting device includes a casing, a cutting unit at one end of the casing and an engine. The cutting unit comprises stationary and movable blade elements arranged parallel to each other. The stationary and movable blade elements include a serrated cutting edge located at their periphery and the second cutting edge, respectively. The drive shaft is connected to the movable blade element by means of an eccentric connecting mechanism. This mechanism turns the rotational motion of the drive shaft into the eccentric movement of the movable blade element. The invention also includes a cutting unit for use in a haircutting device.
EFFECT: improved quality of shaving.
