FIELD: handheld cutting tools.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hair trimmer type trimmers. Blade unit comprises a base, a platform moved relative to the base, a fixed blade attached to the platform, a movable blade, a displacing rod and a retaining spring. Displacing rod has at least one displacing cam ledge and is arranged in the base with possibility of rotation. Cam ledge displaces the platform and the fixed blade relative to the movable blade in a direction transverse to the cutting action direction. Retaining spring has at least one coil interacting with displacing rod.
EFFECT: as a result, a specified position of the movable blade relative to the fixed blade is provided during the cutting process.
