FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: chromating composition contains, g/l: Cr 3+ ions 50-70, phosphate ions 200-280, nitrate ions 23-46, titanium ions 5-10, inhibitor 1-2, water - the rest. As an inhibitor, it contains 50% alcoholic solution of alkylmethylammonium chloride, and as titanium and nitrate ions - spent etching solution from the production of titanium tubes containing nitrate ions - 16%, titanium ions - 3.5%.
EFFECT: proposed invention without the use of hexavalent chromium allows to obtain a colorless chromate film with a high corrosion resistance on the galvanized surface of rolled products and wire.
