FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection of metals from corrosion, particularly to passivation of galvanized steel and is successfully used in metallurgy and machine building. Passivating composition for processing zinc-plated surface of rolled stock and wire contains, in g/l: trivalent Cr3+ chromium ions 7.3–69.2, phosphate ions P2O5 30.4–288.5, corrosion inhibitor 0.3–2.9, wetting agent 0.01–0.095, water - balance. As a corrosion inhibitor, it contains benzotriazole, as a wetting agent is a product for treating a mixture of mono- and dialkylphenols with ethylene oxide, and trivalent chromium ions are obtained by adding to the chromic anhydride composition and 13.0–123.5 g/l disaccharide as a reducer of hexavalent chromium, wherein the ratio of chromic anhydride to reducing agent of hexavalent chromium is 1:0.93 or 9.5:8.82.
EFFECT: invention provides corrosion resistance of zinc-plated surface in peroxide-salt solution, as well as stability of working composition for a long period of time during storage and use.
