FIELD: automotive engineering.
SUBSTANCE: stainless stud (stud of anti-skid), configured to fit into the opening in the area of the tread of the pneumatic tire, includes a tip head in contact with the road surface and a recessed base installed in the tread area. The pressure of the lateral surface of the stud mounting hole on the lower part and the part of the shaft ensures fixation of the stainless stud. The recessed base extends in one direction and comprises a ribbed portion of the rod disposed between the lower portion and the head portion. The lower part includes a plurality of first recesses formed on and around its outer circumferential surface that contact the side surface of the stud mounting hole. The bar portion includes a plurality of second recesses formed on and around its outer circumferential surface that contact the side surface of the stud mounting hole. The first grooves on the bottom and the second grooves on the part of the rod are located in the same peripheral position as the outer peripheral surface of the buried base.
EFFECT: increase the reliability of pin securing in the tire tread with improved performance on icy surfaces.
