SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication systems, namely, to the linking of a user and a smart device. A method for linking a user and a smart device comprises receiving a linking request sent by the local terminal, and the linking request carries a registered user ID of the local terminal, making a decision as to whether the linking request was sent from the current local network to which the smart device is connected, when the linking request is sent from the current local network, sending of the linking request to the server in order for the server to establish a linking relationship between the registered user ID and the smart device, and after the linking relationship is established – receiving of a notification message sent by the server to inform that the linking relationship has been established, and sending of the notification message to the local terminal.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the efficiency of linking the user and the smart device.
