FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves collecting volcanic gas, cooling it, and trapping the resulting compounds. Volcanic gases are collected in a collector with the supply of air therein in the amount of 1.5-2.0 times higher than that required for complete oxidation of hydrogen sulphide contained in the gases. The gases are then cooled to the temperature of 105-110°C, after which the rhenium compounds and associated valuable elements are trapped in a fine gas purifying system.
EFFECT: most complete extraction of valuable metals from volcanic gases into maximally rich concentrates using simple construction and easy-to-use equipment.
