FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: method for operating a gas turbine below the nominal power thereof, comprising determining a lower power threshold value of the gas turbine as the power parameter below which additional lowering of the output gas turbine power causes the gas turbine to leave a carbon monoxide emission-compliant partial load range of the gas turbine. Specified threshold value for an output gas turbine power is set, wherein the specified threshold value is less than the nominal power of the gas turbine. Gas turbine is operated at an output gas turbine power above the specified threshold value (p2) at a constant averaged exhaust gas temperature or with an output value calculated on this basis. Inlet guide blades of a compressor of the gas turbine are closed further in order to reduce the output gas turbine power. Specified output gas turbine power is lowered when the output power falls below the threshold value. Temperature of the exhaust gases of the gas turbine is increased with continued reduction of the gas turbine power and is reduced until the maximum value of the temperature of exhaust gases is reached. Specified threshold is selected so that the temperature rise occurs in the maximum extended carbon monoxide emission-compliant partial load range of the gas turbine.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at operating a gas turbine with a relatively high capacity in accordance with the carbon monoxide emission standard.
