FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture and to neighboring to it areas. Method for seed and grain drying is that the material is loaded, circulated, periodically lied and affected with a warmed and unwarmed drying agent, dried, cooled and unloaded. Duration of τlp intermediate lying periods is determined by the formula
where U'max, U'min – the maximum and the minimum moisture content of the parent grain, kg of wet/kg of dry material; ΔUc – moisture removal per a cycle; , UF – average initial and final moisture content of grain, kg of wet/kg of dry material; ; Vc – speed of contact mass transfer, kg of wet/kg of dry material⋅h, but not less than 0.5 h. Device for carrying out the method for drying seeds and grains contains an over-the-drier hopper, a drying chamber, external and internal perforated cylinders, a riser auger, a calorifer, a panel with grain level sensors, a loading and unloading system and a wheeled mover. Use of the method and the device will allow to avoid overdrying the grain and increase productivity by 1.2…1.3 times.
EFFECT: use of the method and the device will allow to avoid overdrying the grain and increase productivity.
