METHOD OF TREATING FOREARM OF PHLEGMONS Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61M5/142 A61K31/245 A61K31/7036 A61K38/43 A61P31/04

Abstract RU 2646126 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery, and can be used in the treatment of patients with superficial and deep phlegmons of the forearm. Method includes opening purulent cavity, sanitizing and draining it. In addition, the intravenous pressure in the forearm region is increased by applying a cuff from the apparatus for measuring arterial pressure on the shoulder and creating a pressure level of 40 mm Hg. Art. lasting 2 hours. Then, indirect lymphotropic therapy is carried out by sequential paranodular drug administration. In this case lymphotropic therapy, depending on the prevalence of phlegmon and its localization, is performed by subcutaneous administration of drugs along the lateral surfaces of the forearm or wrist joint in the area of lymph node localization in two stages – from the medial and lateral sides. Interval between steps is 2 minutes. Course of treatment – once a day for 7 days.

EFFECT: proposed method is highly effective and allows reducing the overall duration of treatment and rehabilitation therapy by accelerating the reparative processes and the appearance of active granulations in the wound on the third day after the operation.
