FIELD: machine engineering.

SUBSTANCE: scraper conveyor chain tensioning device with cleaning function includes a transfer device, a control sprocket, a scraper chain, and strips. The chain tensioning device of the scraper conveyor is located above the scraper chain on the control sprocket. Cleaning devices are arranged on the chain tensioning device. The chain tensioning device includes: a slider-crank mechanism and two sliding grooves symmetrically secured on bars from two sides at inclined angles. A tension shaft is arranged between two sliding grooves. The tension shaft is mounted on bearing supports by means of bearings. The middle part of the tension shaft is provided with a tension sprocket corresponding to the transmitting chain. The cleaning devices include tension shaft sleeves. A set of groups of cleaning heads is located at intervals around the circumference of the tension shaft sleeve. The cleaning heads are fixed on the sleeves of the tension shafts by means of springs. Sticky coal is cleaned from scraper by scraper teeth on the cleaning heads.

EFFECT: issues with friction, jumping and chain jamming caused by the presence of sticky coal on the scraper are solved.
