FIELD: machine engineering.

SUBSTANCE: liquid-consuming device including a liquid container capable of performing stable supply of liquid contained in the liquid-containing chamber to the side of the liquid-consuming unit is proposed. The liquid container comprises a liquid-containing chamber communicating with the liquid-consuming unit which consumes liquid. The liquid-containing chamber accommodates liquid supplied to the liquid-consuming unit, and comprises a liquid discharge port from which liquid from the liquid-containing chamber flows into the liquid-consuming unit. The liquid container receives liquid feed in state of liquid communication with the liquid-consuming unit when liquid is consumed. The liquid-containing chamber includes a liquid inlet port, through which liquid is introduced into the liquid-containing chamber; in the state of liquid feed consumption into the liquid-consuming unit, a base surface which is located on the lower part of the liquid-containing chamber; a stepped lower surface which has a stage above the base surface, and aligned with reference surface in the longitudinal direction, and a stepped side surface which has a portion of the upper end intersecting the stepped lower surface, and a portion of the lower end intersecting the base surface. The liquid discharge port is near the recess on the lower part base surface.

EFFECT: reduced pressure drops affecting liquid supplied to the liquid-consuming unit, in the result stability of liquid supply is increased.
