FIELD: fuel combustion devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for burning solid pulverised fuel and can be used in processes of various technological purposes in power engineering, public utilities, metallurgy, steam boilers, drying plants, etc. Counterflow vortex burner for burning solid pulverised fuel comprises a combustion chamber consisting of diffuser and confuser sections, flow swirling device, secondary air inlet pipe, pulverised fuel inlet nozzle and igniter, additionally comprises a mixture preparation chamber and an outlet diffuser, the mixture preparation chamber consisting of a fuel-air mixture inlet pipe, tangential nozzle inlet, body and cover and is connected to a pulverised fuel inlet nozzle mounted on the axis of the confuser section of the combustion chamber. Outlet diffuser is mounted opposite the pulverised fuel inlet nozzle coaxially with it, as well as with the flow swirling device and located radially inside it.
EFFECT: reduction of hydraulic losses in the pulverised fuel inlet nozzle and combustion chamber, increase in the completeness of combustion, improving the quality of mixing of fuel and air, widening the operation range on the excess air factor.
