SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for manufacturing an air gap pipe which can, for example, be used as a heating tube in a device for heating smoking material. Method of manufacturing an air gap pipe contains a) manufacture of two extrudable pipes, one of which is located in the other; b) using the first die mold surrounding the outer side of the outer pipe and bearing along the inner side of the inner pipe; and c) charging of fluid into the first cage between inner and outer pipes to form the outer pipe into the first die mold so that at least a part of fluid is left in the cage between the inner and outer pipes, wherein the fluid is a substance or contains a component of a substance that can be activated so that it can function as a heat source or as a cooler.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the creation of a new method for manufacturing an air gap pipe.
