Method of planting tubers and seedlings of vegetable crops includes the formation of furrows for planting plants, feeding the planting material directly into the furrow from the links of the conveyor, located perpendicularly to the movement direction, filling the planting material into the furrow with subsequent soil compaction. Planting material placed in the cups of the conveyor links, each installed at a distance equal to the width of the space between rows, is planted above the coulter directly connected to this row of cups. In this case, the neighboring coulters of the planting machine are positioned offset relatively to each other in the movement direction of the machine, and the value of the displacement is chosen equal to the distance between the cups filled with the planting material in the conveyor link. Simultaneously, the speed of the transverse conveyor and of the links relative to the machine and the speed of the machine itself along the field are chosen from the relation where b is the width of the row spacing, m; Vm is working speed of the machine, m/s; a is planting pitch, m; t is distance between the cups with material in a conveyor link, m.

EFFECT: use of the invention will reduce the cost of planting tubers and seedlings of vegetable crops and reduce the cost of maintaining different types of machines.
