FIELD: radio engineering and communications.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, and can be used to assess the radio suppression effectiveness of satellite communication lines in conditions that exclude destructive effects on signals of satellite communication lines, as well as for training of crews of the interference station. To this end, using a method for estimating the radio suppression effectiveness of a satellite communication signal, when an interference impacts, the input of the radio repeater receiving system is also used to measure the noise level in a satellite link, and before exposure to interference, the emitted interference power is reduced to such a level that the level of interference in the satellite link does not exceed the measured noise level. Formed interference is recorded, and the power level of the satellite communication signal and the detuning of the carrier frequency of the satellite communication signal when exposed to interference, it is measured only after the procedure for determining the correlation level of the satellite communication signal under the influence of interference with the stored generated interference.

EFFECT: technical result is an evaluation of the efficiency of radio suppression, in which there will be no disruption of satellite communications, and providing the possibility to conduct training of crews of the interference station without causing destructive damage to satellite communication systems.
