FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a layer-by-layer production of a 3D polymetallic article with a properties gradient from powder. Device includes a working chamber, laser optically connected with a ray scanning and focusing system, product construction area with a piston, container for supplying and collecting powder, and device for cleaning the layer of loose powder. Device for cleaning the loose powder layer comprises a rotor made in a shape of a thin-walled hollow cylinder of a gas permeable porous material, installed with the ability to rotate around its axis and reciprocate over the construction area, and an inner segment fixedly installed inside the rotor on its axis with a gap between the outer surface of the inner segment and the inner surface of the rotor wall. Device for cleaning the loose powder layer is designed to create vacuum inside the rotor and to create pressure in the region of the rotor wall overlapped by the inner segment, equal to the external pressure, and the delivery and powder collection containers are integrated into a single module with the rotor.

EFFECT: high accuracy of cleaning the layer from an unsecured powder of one type before applying a layer of a different type of powder is provided.
