FIELD: geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of geophysical study in prospecting and exploration for hydrocarbon deposits. Mobile search method of conducting passive low-frequency seismic survey includes the arrangement of seismic sensors on the day surface, recording of natural micro-seismic vibrations, obtaining spectra of micro-seismic oscillations, performing calculations by microseisms theoretical spectrum numerical simulation, corresponding to the cut with the absence of oil and gas content and theoretical spectra of microseisms corresponding to the deposit location on one or more of the investigated horizons, determination of the degree of theoretical spectra coincidence with the measured spectra at each point by methods of rank correlation analysis, conclusion about the presence of a deposit at each measuring point on the investigated horizons or the absence of a deposit based on correlation coefficients, wherein the sensors in micro-seismic studies are placed along the profiles of simultaneous recording with the distance between the sensors in the profile of 100 meters and the total length of the profile, corresponding to the maximum depth of the study, obtaining a velocity model under the observation profile by interferometric processing and use this velocity model for the microseisms theoretical spectra numerical calculation.
EFFECT: ensuring the accuracy of the velocity model assessment for the study area, sufficient for the further application of micro-seismic prospecting methods, increase in the reliability of the hydrocarbon deposits detection, elimination of the need for an a priori velocity model.
