FIELD: radio engineering and communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to infrared detection, namely to infrared (passive) observation systems using a scanning radiometer operating in the millimeter wavelength range under conditions of an increased scanning step of the antenna of the radiometer. Method consists in using two antennas scanning simultaneously in space in orthogonal directions, obtaining, as a result of scanning, two radiometric image matrices with missing rows and columns, filling the missing rows and columns with interpolation, processing the matrices with a Wiener recovery filter, and combining the processing results in one matrix with an increased spatial resolution.
EFFECT: achieved technical result is an increase in the speed, an increase in the spatial resolution of the image of objects formed by a radiometer with a large scan step.
