FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to passive systems for observation of objects using a scanning radiometer of millimetre wavelength range. Technical result is achieved due to the fact that as a result of scanning the space of the antenna radiometer on the azimuth and the elevation angle after the primary processing of the received signals, a radio thermal image matrix (RTI) is formed, elements of which are subject to a model of the form of a two-dimensional convolution, which under certain conditions can be presented in the form of two one-dimensional models, which enables more rational (with fewer calculations) performing operations for reconstructing radio thermal images (RTI). Method realizes two-stage image recovery procedure in RTI matrix: at first rows of RTI matrix in process of their formation are processed by means of one-dimensional Wiener recovery filter and matrix of intermediate estimates is obtained, then columns of the matrix of intermediate estimates are processed with the help of a one-dimensional Wiener recovery filter and a matrix of the reconstructed image is obtained with high spatial resolution.
EFFECT: technical result is higher spatial resolution.
