FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: production of hard-magnetic material based on nitrides of intermetallic compounds of samarium with iron and transition metals, selected from the group of Ti, Nb, Mo, iron powders and one, two or three transition metals Ti, Nb, Mo are mixed in such a manner that the alloying elements displace not more than 10 wt % of Fe. Mechanical alloying is carried out in a vibration mill under an inert atmosphere without moisture content for up to 3 hours. Produced solid solution is mixed with samarium powder. The mixture is subjected to mechanical alloying in reactor under inert atmosphere without moisture content for up to 7 hours. The produced amorphous-crystalline powder material is subjected to spheroidization in plasma at feeding powder at a rate of 2.5-4 kg per hour. Argon is used as plasma-forming gas at flow rate of 20-40 l/min, hydrogen or helium are used as plasma-stabilizing gas at flow rate of 2-24 l/min. The powder is blown by quench gas using nitrogen or ammonia at rate not more than 200 l/min.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to produce a powder of a hard-solid material having a sphericity of the particles, high tap density and fluidity, which results in improvement of magnetic characteristics of articles made of such material.
