FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to psychiatry and narcology, and concerns the treatment of withdrawal symptoms in alcoholism and drug addiction. To this end, in addition to the generally accepted set of therapeutic measures, a pro-toxin drug is administered. Administration is carried out either injectively, subcutaneously or intramuscularly, in doses of 20–40 mg 3–4 times a day, or in the form of tablets in doses of 15–30 mg in the morning, 15–45 mg in the afternoon, 30–45 mg in the evening, 30–45 mg per night for 5–7 days, and then 15–30 mg 2–3 times a day for 10 days.
EFFECT: introduction of the drug in the developed mode provides a reduction in the duration and severity of major withdrawal symptoms, with no side effects.
