FIELD: terminal devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to display terminal devices. Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for controlling a system bar of user equipment, and user equipment. Method includes detecting a display status of the system bar, including a hidden button, receiving a first input, used to select the hidden button and entered through an input unit to hide the system bar. In another embodiment, when the system bar is not displayed on the screen of the user equipment, method includes receiving a second input which is input through the input unit to display the system bar. In the solutions described above, by flexibly invoking or hiding a system bar integrated with various information and/or convenient buttons, the screen can be used to display content to the greatest extent, so as to improve the utilisation rate of the screen.
EFFECT: technical result consists in widening the range of system bar control tools.
