FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an anti-skimming device to prevent unauthorized reading of a number and a PIN-code from the magnetic stripe of a bank card inserted into the card reader of the ATM or a payment terminal. In the anti-skimming device, the housing fixed to the front panel of the ATM is provided with a slot for inserting the card, the edge of the hole is made in the form of guide plates of a similar material adjacent to the card reader insertion port, light level sensors are attached to the outer sides of the guide plates, the light sensor is fixed on the inner wall of the housing. Inside the ATM there is a sensor controller.
EFFECT: ability to monitor the dismantling of an anti-skimming device and the installation of a skimming device over the anti-skimming device, a more reliable counteraction to the installation of skimming devices on the ATM card reader is provided.
