FIELD: antenna equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an antenna measurement technique and can be used to measure an antenna's radiation pattern under conditions where the irradiating field is significantly different from a plane wave, for example, due to the limited dimensions of the measurement chamber. First, a probe with a well-known diagram rotates along a circle of radius R and complex amplitudes {Vn} of signals received by the probe are recorded in the computer memory. Then, the measurements are repeated with the antenna under study, and the complex amplitudes {Un} of the received signals are stored. After that, the processing of data is carried out, the essence of which is that the values of {Vn} restores the irradiating field as a converging beam of plane waves. Then, the directivity pattern of the antenna under test is calculated as the directivity pattern that, under the conditions of the wave beam found, generates the complex amplitudes {Un}.

EFFECT: technical result observed in the implementation of the claimed technical solution consists in increasing the accuracy of measurements due to hardware and software means.
