FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: hybrid rope (20) comprises core element (22) containing high modulus fibers surrounded by at least one outer layer (24) containing wirelike metalic members (26). Core element (22) is coated (23) with thermoplastic polyurethane or copolyester elastomer, and preferably copolyester elastomer comprises soft blocks in the range of 10 to 70 wt. %. Coated material (23) on inner core element (22) is inhibited to be pressed out in-between wirelike members (26) of hybrid rope (20) and hybrid rope (20) has decreased elongation and diameter reduction after being in use.
EFFECT: hybrid rope has reduced elongation and decrease in diameter after use.
