SUBSTANCE: respirator device comprises a base having a receiving unit adapted to receive the rigid nozzle element of the filter cartridge and including a rigid outer portion and an elastomeric sleeve, receiving unit forming an opening in the base, its rigid outer portion being located directly at the opening, and the elastomeric sleeve adjoins the rigid outer portion so that the outer rigid portion is positioned between the opening and the elastomeric sleeve, wherein the inner surfaces of the elastomeric sleeve and the rigid outer portion of the receiving unit form a channel for passage of the nozzle element, extending from said opening in the base, and have a non-circular cross-sectional shape matched to the outer surface of the nozzle element, preventing rotation of the nozzle element inserted into the channel with respect to the rigid outer portion of the receiving unit, and the elastomeric sleeve is deformable around the outer surface of the nozzle element inserted into the channel.
