SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a laundry treating device. More particularly, the present invention relates to a laundry treating device including a housing defining an appearance and having an inlet for laundry; door, combined with the inlet for its opening and closing; a hinge assembly forming a first axis of rotation of the door in a first direction of rotation, and a second axis of rotation of the door in the second rotation direction, the second direction of rotation being different from the first direction of rotation; and a rotating shaft switching part, which is movable, to fasten the door with rotation relative to the first axis of rotation or the second axis of rotation, the hinge unit including a first shaft and a second shaft forming a first axis of rotation, and a third shaft and a fourth shaft forming a second rotation axis, the rotation shaft switching unit having a first switching unit extending in the width direction of the door, and a second switching unit extending in the direction of the height of the door from one end of the first switching assembly and selectively and rotatably attaching the fourth rod to the housing, wherein the fourth shaft has a protrusion extending to the second switching node, and the tip portion of the protrusion comes into contact with the second switching unit.

EFFECT: in accordance with the present invention, when the door of the laundry treating device is opened in the second direction of rotation (id est, the vertical direction or the up and down direction), the second switching node may be prevented from bending and damaging the weight of the door.
