FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a process for the preparation of vinyl ester urethane resins used as a binder in radically curable resin mixtures as well as mortar compositions. Process involves reacting dianhydrohexitol with an aliphatic diisocyanate in the presence of a monomeric radical copolymerisable compound as a solvent, followed by reacting the product with hydroxyalkyl(meth)acrylate. Said diisocyanate and hydroxyalkyl(meth)acrylate are derived from a renewable raw material.
EFFECT: as a result of this process and with high yields, vinyl ester urethane resins can be obtained, suitable as a binder for chemical hardening technology, based on compounds derived from renewable raw materials.
