SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the operation of groundwater abstractions, vertical drainages to protect areas from flooding, systems for flooding, systems for the replenishment of underground water reserves through closed infiltration facilities, in particular the regeneration of water wells for mechanical and biological colmatation. Method consists in sealing the well with a plug at a depth below the static level of the water, and then holding it for 3 to 6 months. After aging and death of the biological colmatant, the inner surface of the wellbore and the filter are cleaned, followed by evacuation of the pulp. Pumping of pulp is made with a pumping unit with rubberized blades. Well is then maintained for a period of 7–14 days in a calm state. After holding this time, water flows stabilize and the dead biological colmatant is washed out of the filter zone.

EFFECT: simplification is provided, the possibility of placing a mechanical plug at a depth below the static level, and removing the residual colmatage from the filter zone of the well.
