SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to agricultural machine building. System for controlling a load on an agricultural harvester comprising a first sensor to sense a first load, a second sensor to sense a second load, an electronic control unit coupled to the first sensor and the second load sensors. Electronic control unit being configured to determine a difference between the first load and the second load, and to either raise a harvesting head or stop the agricultural harvester, or both, when the difference exceeds a threshold load.
EFFECT: use of a system and method for controlling the load on the agricultural harvesting machine reduces the risk of collisions between the harvesting attachment and the ground.
