ANTIGEN-BINDING PROTEIN AND ITS APPLICATION AS A PRODUCT FOR ADDRESS DELIVERY IN TREATMENT OF CANCER Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC C07K16/28

Abstract RU 2650771 C1

FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to biotechnology, in particular to a method for in vitro screening of an antibody or its binding fragment capable of delivering a molecule, that is needed, or for causing its internalization into a mammalian cell expressing on its surface an Axl protein. To perform this method, an antibody is first selected, which is able to specifically bind to the Axl protein and is devoid of any significant activity with respect to the proliferation of tumor cells. Then, the molecule is covalently bound to the selected antibody to form a complex. Thereafter, said complex contacts with a mammalian cell expressing on its surface an Axl protein. Further, it is determined whether the said complex was intracellularly delivered or internalized to said cell, and the required antibody is selected.

EFFECT: present invention also discloses a method for in vitro preparing a cytotoxic or cytostatic complex and allows to select the antibodies to the Axl protein, which can be used to produce immunoconjugates that are safer but still effective.
